Earlier this month, we reported that the first LGBT character will be introduced into the Star Wars canon through an upcoming novel entitled Lords of the Sith, written by Paul S. Kemp, which is set to debut on April 28. It was revealed that the character is a lesbian Imperial leader who tries to prevent "absolute failure" after making a string of crucial mistakes. Today we have a new unconfirmed report from Cinelinx that reveals Moff Delian Mors may actually surface in the first Star Wars spinoff, Rogue One.

The site reports that LucasFilm's plans for Moff Delian Mors could include a big screen appearance in one of the spinoffs, with their sources "under the impression" that the spinoff in question is Rogue One, and possibly in the live action TV series that is currently being developed. The Lords of the Sith novel is set between Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and the Star Wars Rebels TV series, and there have been reports that Rogue One will take place "around that same timeline," which is before Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. As of now, the only cast member confirmed for Rogue One is Felicity Jones, although nothing is known about her character. Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn is reportedly circling a lead role, but that has not been confirmed.

Moff Delian Mors is believed to be a character that, if used in both the Rogue One spinoff and the live action TV series, could connect the worlds from the movies, TV show and the books all at once. We've known for quite some time that all of the new Star Wars novels will be considered canon, so it would make sense to bring characters from these books to both the big and small screens. However, it isn't known how large a role Mors may play in Rogue One or the proposed TV series. What do you think about these new updates?
