Are you ready to get pumped for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story? Editor Matthew Longua has cobbled together a new Rogue One trailer that is entirely set to the Beastie Boys classic Sabotage. Sure, the song has been used to great effect in the new Star Trek movies, but this is pretty cool in its own right.

This new trailer actually takes all the footage released thus far, setting it to the rock rap tune. It even culls some cool behind-the-scenes footage from the Star Wars Celebration sizzle reel, incorporating it in a new way that makes this movie look like a lot of fun. Maybe Star Wars and the Beastie Boys shouldn't mix so well. But it certainly does.

What's perhaps quite funny about this new version of the Rogue One trailer is that Paramount actually released an official Star Trek Beyond trailer set to the same tune. And it made a lot of fans quite irate. Those same fans are now praising this version of the Star Wars spin-off trailer. Some are even calling it better than the version that launched during the Olympics.

The Beastie Boys actually have a bit of history with the current Star Wars canon. Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, who is a big fan of the band, hence it's inclusion in the 2009 Star Trek reboot, actually named one of the new X-Wing pilots after the pioneering hip-hop trio. Alien Ello Asty gets his name from the album Hello Nasty and the Aurebesh writing on his helmet translates to 'Born to Ill'. Of course, if you've seen The Force Awakens, you know poor Ello's run with the Resistance is short lived.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
