While we don't know just yet what the first Untitled Star Wars Spin-Off will be about, or which classic character it will follow, we do know that it will be directed by Godzilla and Monsters auteur Gareth Edwards and penned by The Book of Eli screenwriter Gary Whitta. Whitta is obviously excited about this new endeavor, as he tweeted out the first photo from pre-production, which finds the duo meeting their new boss, Darth Vader. Its unlikely that this classic villain will appear in their stand-alone adventure, but anything is possible, especially if they are taking on the Untitled Star Wars Boba Fett Spin-Off, a character who has been employed by Anakin Skywalker's alter ego in the past. Other characters rumored to get their own spin-off include Han Solo, Yoda, Jabba the Hutt and a squadron of X-Wing fighters led by a young Luke Skywalker under the code name Red Five.
