Ever since the second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted during the D23 Expo, fans have been waiting impatiently for the next wave of footage. Some thought LucasFilm would unveil this sneak peek at San Diego Comic Con, but instead, fans were treated to a behind-the-scenes video from the set way back in July. Director J.J. Abrams did confirm at the time that the next trailer would debut sometime in the fall, causing another long three month wait for the latest glimpse at what is easily the most anticipated movie of 2015. Possibly ever. Last night, during ESPN's Monday Night Football, the third and final trailer arrived, revealing tons of new footage that will thrill and delight new and old Star Wars fans alike. But no matter how many times you've watched it, we bet you've missed a couple of things.

With all three trailers widely praised and beloved, anticipation is growing by the millisecond. It has become abundantly clear that the franchise is more popular than ever, and that Star Wars: The Force Awakens could shatter box office expectations, which are already staggeringly high. A report from August claimed that analysts are already predicting that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will earn upwards of $615 million worldwide in its first weekend of release alone, which would break several records set just a few months ago. Universal's Jurassic World not only broke the domestic record ($208.8 million), but also international ($315.3 million) and worldwide ($524.4 million) opening weekend records. These insiders claim that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will gross $300 million domestically and $315 million internationally during the weekend of December 18, which seems like a tall order now, but if anticipation keeps growing at the same feverish pace, with ticket outlets crashing all over the internet, it may even fare much better, but only time will tell.

With just two months left until Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters, last night's trailer is expected to be the last one. But don't worry, there will surely be new clips and TV spots rolling in soon. The first trailer that debuted back in November was just 88 seconds long, but it introduced us to the three main heroes, John Boyega's Finn, Daisy Ridley's Rey and Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron, along with the ball droid BB-8. Slowly but surely, new details started to filter out, such as the confirmation that Adam Driver is actually playing the villainous Kylo Ren, the fact that the lovable ball droid, BB-8 is actually a real technological marvel, and that the desert shoot in Abu Dhabi was not actually for scenes set in Tatooine, but for a new planet known as Jakku.

However, since this is Star Wars, many of these reveals lead to even more questions, as the enormous fan community and journalists alike still try to piece together the dearth of rumors and speculation that have swirled around this movie set in a galaxy far, far away, ever since Disney bought LucasFilm for $4 billion back in October 2012. Even with three thrilling trailers, and that behind-the-scenes video from Comic Con, there is still so much we don't know about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. For instance, the identity of Max von Sydow's character remains a mystery, and the purposeful exclusion of Finn and Rey's surnames have spawned numerous theories. And, of course, there is the biggest mystery of all: Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who has yet to be revealed in any of the posters, photos or footage released so far. It's safe to assume at this point that we probably won't see Luke Skywalker at all until we're sitting in our local theater on December 18 (or, most likely, the evening of December 17), adding to the mystery and intrigue of a movie that is so popular, it actually caused several movie ticket websites to tank, shortly after tickets went on sale last night.

While we can only speculate about these mysteries for now, what we can do is break down this exciting new trailer and offer up some tidbits you might have missed, even if you have already watched it hundreds of times by now. Some of these details essentially confirm long-held rumors, while others offer brand new tidbits and details that fans will be poring over for the next two months. So, without further adieu, we present seven things you might have missed in the third and final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

7 [1] Does A StormTrooper Falls Off an X-Wing In Mid-Flight?

Star Wars The Force Awakens Photo 1

Towards the end of the new trailer, at the 1:54 mark, there is a brief shot of a lone Stormtrooper firing at an X-Wing ship, but if you look closer, there is something quite strange about the shot. If you break it down frame by frame, it appears that another Stormtrooper may actually fall off this X-Wing ship. This Stormtrooper is so far in the background that we can't see for sure (or even confirm that he is even a Stormtrooper), but if this is the case, then we just may have a candidate for the Bravest Stormtrooper Ever Award. Sure, they're great at firing laser blasters at their enemies, but we don't see many of them going that extra mile, as it were.

There is another possibility, though, as he may have just been propelled so far into the air by the explosion below, that it merely looks like he fell off the X-Wing. If you break down the footage frame by frame, it appears that this could be the most viable theory, especially taking into account how a Stormtrooper would end up atop a moving X-Wing seems highly unlikely. Then again, he could have jumped on the ship trying to disable the unwitting pilot as he takes off. This doesn't seem like standard protocol for your average Stormtrooper, but then again, these aren't your garden variety Stormtroopers, these are First Order troopers. It's certainly possible that these First Order soldiers do, in fact, go that extra mile, unlike their predecessors, but since there is so little we know about the First Order, it's tough to say for sure. Regardless, of how he ended up flying through the air, it certainly wasn't a great day for that particular Stormtrooper.

6 [2] Chewbacca's Injured Arm

Star Wars The Force Awakens Photo 2

Of all the details J.J. Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy and others at Disney and LucasFilm have confirmed about Star Wars: The Force Awakens over the past two years, a vast majority of this information revolves around brand new characters. It got to the point where there was so little information about the returning Star Wars characters that the mysterious red arm of C-3PO became big news. One of the most talked-about moments in the second trailer came at the final shot, where we finally saw Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) together again, at last. Last night's trailer, like the two before it, largely focused on the new heroes, but one brief shot of Han and Chewie, seemingly surrounded by enemy forces, offers some new insight into everyone's favorite Wookie, and essentially confirmed a rumor that surfaced last year.

A report from the set broke down a scene that was rumored to be shot in the infamous Mos Eisley Cantina, the very same "hive of scum and villainy" Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) visit in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. While it still hasn't been confirmed if this establishment is the Mos Eisley Cantina or not, the scene description revealed that Chewbacca was seen with his arm bandaged and in a sling, and during a scene in the new trailer, Chewie is clearly seen with a sizable bandage over his right arm. What happened to Chewie's arm? Your guess is as good as ours, but, don't expect this injury to slow Chewie down. That same report from last year also revealed that Chewie showed up to help out Rey, whose blaster was taken from her by a hostile alien. The unidentified alien reportedly says, "What good is a one-armed Wookie?" If this report is accurate, Chewie responds by ripping the alien's arm off, and handing the blaster back to Rey.

5 [3] What Is The Mysterious Place With The Colorful Flags?

Star Wars The Force Awakens Photo 3

While the first two trailers certainly offered memorable glimpses at the action set to unfold in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the third trailer was truly action-packed, showcasing a number of massive action set pieces featuring the aerial battles between X-Wings, TIE Fighters and other ships that any Star Wars fan will crave. However, any great trailer can't be ALL action, and there are also a number of tranquil shots peppered throughout the footage. There is one shot, however, that is quite puzzling indeed. At the 1:38 mark of the trailer, we see Han Solo, Finn, Rey and BB-8 approach what appears to be some sort of mysterious temple or castle, adorned with countless, colorful flags with a number of different emblems, most of which aren't immediately identifiable, although the Mandalorian logo (adorned by Boba Fett) is seen on one of the flags. Of all the trailer photos we captured from the new footage, this image is possibly the strangest of all, perhaps because it looks so out of place, compared to everything else we've seen so far. It's almost futile to even venture a guess as to who may be behind that red door, at this point, but we'll certainly be keeping an eye out for this building in the near future.

4 [4] Is Kylo Ren Controlling The Starkiller Base

Star Was The Force Awakens Photo 4

The new poster that debuted over the weekend gave fans their first look at the new Death Star, dubbed the Starkiller Base. Not much is known about the Starkiller base, which is an homage to Luke Skywalker's original name in early drafts of the Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope script, but it was believed to be housed on an unknown ice planet similar to Hoth. After watching this trailer, it's clear that Starkiller is actually the entire ice planet, as battle scenes, likely from the movie's climax, show this snowy land equipped with large trenches similar to the original Death Star. It would make sense that the entire planet is the Starkiller base, since we see other shots in this trailer, and the previous footage, of the massive First Order Stormtrooper army assembling on this snowy land. While we don't ever see Kylo Ren on this ice planet, he is seen observing...Something from what appears to be a massive Imperial Star Destroyer, known as The Finalizer. It's possible that the dark, ominous shot of Kylo Ren at the beginning of the trailer actually takes place on the Starkiller base, but it seems that Kylo is checking out the destruction this new weapon can inflict from a distance, which could infer that he is in control of the base's massive weapon. The weapon is rumored to have the ability to wipe out a slew of planets at once, and we even get a brief tease of the base's destructive powers at the 1:04 mark of the trailer, just after Poe Dameron is having his thoughts extracted from him by Kylo Ren. The orange hue seen in this destructive blast is the same color of the Starkiller's main weapon seen in the poster.

3 [5] Lupita Nyong'o's Voiceover as Maz Kanata

Star Wars The Force Awakens Photo 5

One mystery from the first trailer that fans were scratching their heads over involved the mysterious voice over, with a seemingly nefarious voice uttering "There has been an awakening. Have you felt it? The dark side, and the light." It was eventually confirmed that Andy Serkis provided this voiceover, who was later revealed to be Supreme Leader Snoke, although we still haven't seen him in any of the footage so far. This new footage has another voice over from a character we haven't officially seen yet, Lupita Nyong'o's Maz Kanata. Unlike the evil overtones of Snoke in the first trailer, Kanata's voice offers hope, of sorts, as she speaks with Rey, asking her in the trailer's opening moments, "Who are you?" While Rey claims to be "No one," it has already been confirmed through trading cards that Rey is part of the Jedi order, although we haven't seen her wield a light saber yet. Kanata is heard saying "The Force, it's calling to you. Just let it in." There is very little we know about Maz Kanata thus far, but it is believed that her character is a space pirate, who runs a bar much like the Mos Eisley Cantina. It seems likely that this is the bar where the Rey/Chewbacca scene described earlier happens (and could even be the castle adorned with flags), but if Maz Kanata really is a space pirate, how would she know that The Force is calling out to Rey? Perhaps this seemingly unassuming character could be another Jedi master that has been hiding, like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda in the first trilogy, but we don't know that for sure. It's also possible that the voiceover isn't Maz Kanata. But if that is the case, we have no clue who it could really be.

2 [6] BB-8 Serves as Poe Dameron's X-Wing Droid

Star Wars The Force Awakens Photo 6

We have seen plenty of BB-8 over the past year, from his introduction in the first trailer to the reveal at Star Wars Celebration that he is an actual, working droid. This lovable robot is mostly seen with Rey, who appears to be his owner, but, much like R2-D2 before him, BB-8 does his part to help the Rebel Alliance's cause, by serving as the droid on Poe Dameron's X-Wing ship. Now, we don't know for sure that BB-8 is with Poe, but he is definitely seen on an X-Wing at the 1:47 mark of the trailer, and since the next shot is of Poe, it seems likely that BB-8 lends Poe a hand in battle. There have been rumors that both Poe and Finn are captured by the First Order early on and are thrown in the same cell together, where they eventually plan their escape. Somewhere along the way, they encounter Rey and BB-8, and while there aren't any scenes we've seen so far with Rey, BB-8 and Poe Dameron together, we've seen plenty with Rey, Finn and BB-8. The battle scenes that take place at the Starkiller base are believed to happen at the end of the film, so it seems likely that Poe, Finn and Rey become fast friends, leading Rey to lend BB-8 to Poe.

1 [7] Whose Dead Body Is Rey Crying Over?

Star Wars The Force Awakens Photo 7

At the 1:45 mark of the trailer, Rey is seen crying, presumably in mourning over the death of someone close to her. She appears to be crying next to a dead body, which, at first glance, seems to be Chewbacca, since we can see what looks like strands of hair on this corpse, but, then again, this person also seems to be wearing a tan jacket of some kind, and we have yet to see Chewbacca wear any sort of jacket before. Unfortunately, this detail doesn't narrow down the possibilities, but instead widens the field. Main characters Finn, Poe Dameron and Han Solo are all seen wearing jackets in the trailer. It's worth noting that, directly after this shot, the trailer cuts to a new scene with Finn, Chewbacca and Han Solo together. Could J.J. Abrams be parading these death suspects before our very eyes, a split-second after Rey is seen mourning a corpse? Keep in mind, there have been rumors that Han Solo does die in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but we haven't heard much about Chewbacca's fate. It seems highly unlikely that Poe and Finn would die in this movie, since they are being set up as the new heroes in the sequels to follow, along with Rey. But, then again, no one expected Darth Maul to die in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace either, so there you go. It's is also interesting to note that the explosion Rey and Finn run towards on Jakku is topped with a flying cockpit piece of debris. Is this the Millennium Falcon exploding into a hundred bits? Probably not, because if you look closely, you can see the iconic ship stationed at the Resistance base where all of our heroes have come together after their time spent on Jakku.

That wraps it up for our seven things you may have missed from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. While this may be the final full-length trailer, we'll be on the lookout for the first clips and TV spots that will surely start surfacing in the weeks and months that follow, so stay tuned. Is there anything we left out that has you still scratching your head, even after watching this footage over and over again?
