Last week we reported that directors Sofia Coppola, Gus Van Sant and Bill Condon have been approached to direct the final installment of a vampire film series, and now one more can be added to that list. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that director Stephen Daldry is the latest director being considered for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Much like the story last week, there wasn't any indication that Daldry would end up taking the job, but it seems that Summit Entertainment has reached out to the director. With each director on this list having an Oscar nomination under their belt, Daldry seems to stand out, having been nominated for Best Director for each of the three films he has made.

None of the directors that have been mentioned have a film project lined up either and, with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn said to start shooting in the fall, it might be awhile before we hear who will direct this final chapter of the saga.
