The cast just keeps on growing for a new comedy directed by Jesse Peretz. Deadline New York is reporting that Steve Coogan has signed on for a role in My Idiot Brother.

Coogan will play a, "self-righteous documentary filmmaker," according to the site, and the story revolves around Paul Rudd's character, an idealist who tries to get away from his mother and starts crashing at the homes of his three successful sisters (Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Mortimer).

Jesse Peretz is directing the film from a script by Evgenia Peretz and David Schisgall. Production is currently under way in New York City.
