In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Steven Spielberg's Nine Lives may be reborn at NBC.

Four years ago, Syfy (at that time, the Sci Fi Channel) gave a greenlight for Nine Lives as a 12-hour miniseries that would air in 2007.

The project was written by Les Bohem. It centers on a group of people who find a way to reunite with their loved ones in the afterlife via near-death experiences, however those journeys unleash an evil force.

Nine Lives didn't happen at Syfy, but it has a lot of interest at NBC.

Bohem is presently reworking the script for a broader broadcast audience. NBC is waiting for the latest draft, but it's looking at Nine Lives as a direct-to-series vehicle.
