Steven Weber is gearing up to star in the NBC comedy pilot Zip. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will be a half-hour single camera production.
The show will follow Trip Stringer, played by Weber. He is a guy with no money who finds himself living in Beverly Hills. With the help of his Latino partner Hugo, Trip concocts one scheme after another in a means to get rich and take care of his three children.
Richard Shepard is directing the pilot. The show does not have set start date at this time.
