Julianne Moore has been garnering Oscar buzz for her performance in Still Alice ever since the film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it was quickly acquired by Sony Pictures Classics. The studio has released the first trailer for this upcoming drama, which opened in limited release last weekend before expanding nationwide on January 16, 2016. We'll have to wait another month to see if Julianne Moore will get an Oscar nomination for her performance, but many believe she's a surefire lock to be nominated in the Best Actress category.

When she receives a diagnosis of Early-Onset Alzheimer's Disease, Alice and her family find their bonds thoroughly tested. Her struggle to stay connected to who she once was is frightening, heartbreaking, and inspiring. Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland (The Last of Robin Hood) co-wrote and co-directed this adaptation of Lisa Genova's novel.
