Even without the Eggo tease at the end of Stranger Things Season 1, it seemed inconceivable that Eleven wouldn't be back for Stranger Things Season 2, since she was such a huge part of the show. It has now been confirmed that Millie Bobby Brown will be back to reprise her mysterious role. As well, the Netflix favorite as added two new actors and made a few important cast adjustments.

Millie Bobby Brown's telepathic tween was last seen being obliterated into dust alongside the Demogorgon, and when the show was renewed, creators The Duffer Bros. refused to comment about her return. But Deadline confirms the young actor's return as she just signed with WME in what has been called a very competitive situation.

Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) have been promoted to series regulars after serving as featured players during the first season of Stranger Things. The two new cast additions are relative newcomers Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery. They will all be joining previously announced cast members Wynona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin.

Sadie Sink is playing the previously announced character of Max. She is described as a skater girl. She is a tough and confident tomboy whose pursuits in life fall more in line with the boys of this 80s time period. She has a complicated history, and is said to be very suspicious of those who surround her in life.

Dacre Montgomery is playing the also previously announced character of Billy, Max's older step-brother. He is said to be edgy and overly confident. He likes to steal girlfriends away from their longtime boyfriends. And he loves drinking games. He also drives a black Camaro. He is described as having a 'violent and unpredictable nature'.

Sadie Sink hails from Broadway and began her acting career with the musical Annie. She also starred on Broadway opposite Helen Mirren in The Audience. She has appeared in the NBC TV series American Odyssey, with guest spots on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Blue Bloods, and The Americans. She'll next be seen in the upcoming movies The Glass Castle and The Bleeder. If Dacre Montgomery sounds familiar to some of you genre fans, it's because he is playing one of the new Power Rangers opposite Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston and RJ Cyler.

Stranger Things Season 2 consists of 9 new episodes, one more episode than Season 1. The popular series returns in 2017, though an official release date has yet to be announced. Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen are returning to executive produce.
