The New England Patriots won the Super Bowl on Sunday, but it may have been Netflix who came away as the bigger winner. Many studios released some brand new trailers for upcoming movies and TV shows during the big game, and Netflix decided it was time to finally unleash the first teaser for Stranger Things season 2. Fans of the series were totally thrilled to see the footage and as it turns out, the cast of the series was just as, if not more, excited about it.

Noah Schnapp, who plays Will in Stranger Things, posted a video to his Instagram page shortly after the teaser aired during the Super Bowl. In the video, he and the other young cast members from the hit sci-fi series can be seen watching the teaser for Stranger Things season 2 for the first time, and their reaction is absolutely delightful. They have a full-blown freak out over it and their reaction seems like the physical embodiment of how Twitter and the rest of the internet reacted to watching the footage for the first time.

Prior to the release of the first teaser trailer for Stranger Things Season 2, Netflix had been keeping details on the show under lock and key. Given the success of the first episodes, they moved ahead very quickly and it looks like, at least based on this first bit of video, that the show will deliver in a big way. Perhaps the most exciting part about the teaser is that it confirms the release date for Stranger Things season 2, which will be coming on Halloween. It also looks like part of the show will be taking place on Halloween, since the first picture that was released featured the gang dressed up as Ghostbusters.

Stranger Things Season 2 will bring back the young cast members from season 1 who you can see in the video blow. Returning cast members include Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Natalia DyerCharlie Heaton. Winona Ryder and David Harbour are also set to return this season. Stranger Things season 2 has added some new talent as well, starting with Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery, who are playing step-siblings named Max and Billy. The Goonies star Sean Astin is playing the manager of the local Radio Shack who is also Joyce's new boyfriend, with Aliens star Paul Reiser playing a government official who comes to town to investigate what happened during the first season. Additionally, Linnea Berthelsen is playing Roman, a damaged young woman who is connected to the mysterious events of Stranger Things season 1.

Stranger Things season 2 will consist of 9 episodes, as opposed to the 8 that made up the show's first season, which is good news for those who plan on binge watching the series. Be sure to check out the cast reaction to the first teaser for Stranger Things season 2.
