Netflix released Stranger Things season 3 during the 4th of July holiday and many hardcore fans have already finished watching the entire thing. With that being said, it's going to be a while before we see season 4 and many are wondering what that will look like when the time comes. Season 3 provided a whole bunch of changes and brought along some familiar faces from the past, including Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman), who has an expanded part this time around and fans can now call his phone number for a special message. There are SPOILERS for Stranger Things season 3 below, so read ahead at your own risk.

In the latest season of Stranger Things, Chief Hopper calls on Murray Bauman for some help with Russian translation, among other things. Bauman plays an integral role in keeping things moving along with some comic relief at the same time. One particular moment of humor comes when Joyce decides Hopper's urgent call to Dr. Owens' special number wasn't urgent enough. She calls the number again and then provides Bauman's phone number, much to the private investigator's displeasure. The number is 618-625-8313 and fans can call it right now to get a teaser about the possible survival of Chief Hopper.

Murray Bauman's phone rings three times before Stranger Things fans are introduced to a pre-recorded message from the private investigator. Bauman first addresses his mother and tells her only to call between the hours of 5 and 6. The second part of the message is the most intriguing part of the whole thing since it is aimed directly at Joyce. She is urged to get in contact with him because he does not want to share his information over the phone. Bauman says the news is "not good or bad but it's something," and will only relay said info in person. The third part of the message is aimed at Stranger Things fans as Bauman calls us "parasites" for clogging up his private line.

So, what is this message that Murray Bauman wants to get to Joyce? Obviously, the first thoughts leads exactly to the survival of Hopper, who supposedly died, though his death was not shown on screen. Could Bauman have some intel about the whereabouts of Hopper? It is possible and it's big enough news that he won't share over the phone, which is more than likely out of fear of the Russians intercepting the message, since they are teased again in the post-credit scene.

Did Hopper survive the blast? For now, the answer seems to be no. Joyce ended up moving away and has Eleven with her, which is probably why Murray Bauman cannot get in contact with her and why he has an open message to her on his answering machine. But, this is the world of Stranger Things and anything is possible, though the deaths provided in the show have proven to be permanent over the years. Anyone remember Barb? Whatever the case may be, there is something interesting going on with Bauman's phone number. Fans can head over to Netflix to give the third season another spin and find further clues.
