Christina Hendricks, Dermot Mulroney, and Sarah Hyland have all joined the cast of Struck by Lightning alongside Glee star Chris Colfer and Allison Janney.

The story centers around Chris Colfer's character, who is killed by a bolt of lightning in the opening moments of the movie. The rest of the movie is told through flashbacks and shows how the character blackmails his high school classmates into contributing to a literary magazine he is creating. Other supporting cast members include Angela Kinsey, Allie Grant, Ashley Rickards, Polly Bergen, Brad William Henke, Robbie Amell, and Carter Jenkins.

Brian Dannelly is directing from a screenplay by Chris Colfer. Production started earlier this week.
