Last week, a report surfaced that Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad will have a post credit scene, which some found surprising since there were no end credit scenes in either Man of Steel or Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Still, given the popularity of these scenes, thanks to the meteoric rise of Marvel Studios, it's not terribly surprising that Warner Bros. chose to add an extra scene for the fans. Today we have a new report which claims to reveal what happens in this scene, which helps set up another important DC Comics adaptation. There will be POTENTIAL SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.
While these details have not been confirmed by Warner Bros., we'll find out for sure tomorrow night after the first Thursday night sneak preview screenings. This report comes from We Got This Covered, whose source reveals that this scene features both Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). Take a look at the description of this scene below, which in essence helps set up Justice League.
"The scene has Bruce Wayne talking to Amanda Waller in her office, getting dossier files on the members of the Justice League he's trying to round up in exchange for using his influence to help cover up the damage to the city that the Suicide Squad causes while going after Enchantress. They both have dirt on each other, though. When he leaves, he makes a crack about friendship. She says, 'I don't believe in friendship, I believe in leverage.' He looks at her and she follows, 'You look tired. You should stop working nights.' He replied, 'If you don't shut it down someone will do it for you,' or something to that effect, and then leaves."
Towards the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Bruce Wayne discovers the files Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) has on The Flash (Ezra Miller), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). It seems that Amanda Waller has much more detailed files than Lex Luthor, so it's possible that she also knows Bruce Wayne is Batman. We'll have to wait and see how this scene plays out on the big screen.
We reported earlier this week that Suicide Squad could make more than $140 million this weekend at the box office, but those projections came in before the first reviews, which were quite negative. Still, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice suffered from equally-negative reviews and still went on to make $166 million in its opening weekend, so we'll have to see how the reviews affect Suicide Squad's box office take. Stay tuned for more on Suicide Squad as more details come in.
