With production starting in Toronto next month on Warner Bros.' DC Comics adaptation Suicide Squad, it seems there are still more characters left to be cast. Latino Review's El Mayimbe reveals that Jackie Earle Haley is being considered to play The Thinker. Of course, this has yet to be confirmed by Warner Bros. and DC Comics at this time, and this is the first time we've heard this character even mentioned as being a part of the adaptation.

What remains unclear is which version of The Thinker will be used in Suicide Squad, if this rumor turns out to be true. It seems likely that the original character, Clifford De Voe, will be the one shown in the movie. Clifford De Voe was a failed lawyer who developed a thinking cap that could project mental force, which allowed him to become "the brains" behind the operations of several different villains. De Voe was originally a recurring villain in The Flash comics, before he was eventually recruited to join the Suicide Squad.

Jackie Earle Haley is perhaps best known among comic book fans for playing Rorshach in Warner Bros.' 2009 Watchmen adaptation. He most recently starred in last year's RoboCop reboot, and he will next be seen in the action sequel London Has Fallen, a follow-up to Olympus Has Fallen.
