After months of casting rumors, Warner Bros. is in final talks with stars Jai Courtney, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto for their super-villain ensemble Suicide Squad. The Hollywood Reporter has also confirmed a report from last week that the film will shoot in Toronto, with pre-production scheduled to begin in February for a shoot that will last from mid-April to September. Suicide Squad was one of nine new superhero movies that Warner Bros. and DC Comics announced back in October.

Jai Courtney is in talks to play Deadshot, with Tom Hardy reportedly playing Rick Flagg, a founding member of the Suicide Squad. Margot Robbie is in talks to play Harley Quinn and Jared Leto is being courted to play The Joker. The Hollywood Reporter's story doesn't mention Will Smith, who is rumored to be playing Digger Harkness, a.k.a. Captain Boomerang, a nemesis of The Flash in the DC Comics. It has also been rumored that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Jesse Eisenberg will reprise his role as Lex Luthor, but that has not been confirmed.
