This summer, some of the world's greatest super villains are gong to embark on an impossible mission to stop a deadly force from taking over the world. And they might not all make it back. Though, we're pretty confident that Harley Quinn, The Joker and Deadshot will all live to see another day. And if we had to wager who the most expendable members of Task Force X are, we'd go with the ones most often left out of the promotional push for Suicide Squad. Yes, if we took a wild guess, we'd say Diablo and Slipknot probably won't make it back to their prison home at Belle Reve. Once again, the duo is suspiciously absent from a set of character portraits that have just landed on the Internet.

Everyone else is present and accounted for in a series of new images that give each of the headlining cast members a moment to shine. Leading the group as always is Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as The Joker and Will Smith as Deadshot. Of these three, Harley is already confirmed to be getting her own spinoff movie, so we know she survives. And there's a strong rumor that The Joker will be getting his own movie sometime over the course of the next few years. And Deadshot? Rumor has it he'll next be seen in the Batman solo adventure directed by and starring Ben Affleck.

Joining this trio are Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Karen Fukuhara as Katana and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. With the exception of Waller, and to be fair to Slipknot and Diablo, we haven't heard that any of these characters will show up in a spinoff either. So anyone of them could be expendable at this point. With the arrival of these latest images, it was also announced today that Suicide Squad will have a major presence on the San Diego Comic-Con convention floor. Though, we don't yet know what kind of Q&A panel will be presented in Hall H.

There are plenty of Suicide Squad-themed fan events planned. And the cast will be present to sign autographs. The con will also see the return of Harley's tattoo parlor, and part of the Hard Rock Hotel in the City's Gaslamp Quarter is getting transformed into Belle Reve Penitentiary. Though, we're not sure how willing the security will be to let you hang upside down from the jail cells using just your bedsheets.

It feels good to be bad... Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?

Also starring in Suicide Squad are Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, Raymond Olubawale as King Shark, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Common as Monster T and Adam Beach as Slipknot. The movie is directed by David Ayer. And will be in theaters August 5, just a few weeks after Comic-Con. Check out the latest images thanks to Warner Bros.
