In just under two months, Warner Bros. will finally unleash Suicide Squad in theaters, but next month, this comic book adaptation is expected to have a big presence at the annual San Diego Comic Con convention. While we won't know for sure if Warner Bros.is holding a panel or a screening of this highly-anticipated movie until closer to the date, the studio unveiled a number of merchandise items that will be available for fans to purchase at SDCC next month. Among these items is what may be the "worst" Joker (Jared Leto) costume of all time.
USA Today has the first look at these items, with the Joker costume most likely set to be a hot seller. The costume includes a shirt with fake chains drawn on it, along with a purple Joker coat, fake teeth and, of course, the iconic green wig. It seems that this villain's tattoo artwork won't come included with the costume. There will also be a full Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) Halloween costume for sale at SDCC, which includes a colorful jacket, "Daddy's Little Monster" t-shirt, "Puddin" necklace and a pair of spiked bracelets.
Other merchandise revealed includes a Katana (Karen Fukuhara) DC Super Hero Girls action figure ($40), a Mattel action figure set featuring the Joker and his henchman known as Panda Man ($40), and a Harley Quinn Hot Wheels set ($25). We're sure there will be much more Suicide Squad merchandise unveiled between now and San Diego Comic Con, so stay tuned. This comic book adaptation is set to hit theaters August 5, which could be the last blockbuster this summer, going up against The Founder and Nine Lives.
