Many have wondered exactly how Suicide Squad will connect to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the two-part Justice League movie. The answer may lie in Jesse Eisenberg, who is reportedly in talks with Warner Bros. to reprise his role as Lex Luthor in this upcoming David Ayer directed DC Comics adventure.

Warner Bros. is rumored to be transferring this character over as the leader of the Suicide Squad, which follows 7 super villains who must band together under the government's supervision to pull off a deadly mission where everyone is expendable. Who better to pull the plan together than Lex Luthor?

Warner Bros. is said to currently be in talks with an all-star roster that may include Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie. The characters being used are rumored to be Blockbuster (Mark Desmond), Multiplex (Danton Black), Jaculi, Mindboggler (Leah Wasserman), Captain Boomerang (George Harkness), Vixen (Mari Jiwe McCabe) and Deadshot (Floyd Lawton), with Captain Boomerang, Vixen and Deadshot as the leads.

If Jesse Eisenberg does sign on, he may have to drop out of the Todd Phillips directed Arms and the Dudes about two stoners who get into the arms sales business. Its unlikely that he will do both. He will, however, return for Now You See Me 2, with the film being a clear priority for Sony Pictures, who are attempting to set up a franchise. The actor is also expected to return for Zombieland 2, but that has never been confirmed by the studio.
