We haven't seen many photos from the Toronto set of Suicide Squad lately, as production continues inside Pinewood Studios. But if a new rumor is to be believed, the super villain ensemble will feature an appearance by none other than Jason Momoa's Aquaman. It has been long rumored that Aquaman and the rest of the Justice League members will appear at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and an unconfirmed report surfaced yesterday that revealed Aquaman will be held as a prisoner in a containment chamber, where fans will see his hand slap against the glass. As it turns out, this ties into his appearance in Suicide Squad as well. Be warned, there will be POTENTIAL SPOILERS for Suicide Squad below, so read on at your own risk.
Last month, another rumor surfaced that Viola Davis' Amanda Waller has Aquaman's trident in a trophy case that will be seen in Suicide Squad. This new report claims that Aquaman is being held in Waller's prison, where he is being "studied and tested on." He was reportedly caught after an epic fight with none other than iconic DC Villain King Shark (Raymond Olubawale), described as a mutant shark, who is being held in the same prison. There was another rumor that King Shark is in a special area in the basement of this prison, reserved for those with superhuman abilities, which is where Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) is believed to be held as well.
The question that remains is, when did this fight between Aquaman and King Shark take place? While it has not been confirmed, Suicide Squad is reportedly set between the events of 2013's Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, even though Suicide Squad opens a few months after the latter. It isn't known if this Aquaman and King Shark fight will actually be shown in Suicide Squad or not, but if these details are true, showing an imprisoned Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would provide a nice tease to set up his character further in Suicide Squad. What do you think about these new rumored details?
