While we still wait for the Suicide Squad cast to be finalized, GlobalNews.ca is reporting that the super-villain adventure will start production next April in Toronto.

Filming is scheduled to run from mid-April to the end of August at Pinewood Toronto Studios, and at various locations throughout Toronto. The project will also be working under the fake title "Bravo 14," but it's possible that could change since it leaked so early.

It has yet to be confirmed which of the numerous Suicide Squad villains from the DC Comics will be featured in this adaptation, but it was rumored last month that the roster will feature seven characters, including Blockbuster (Mark Desmond), Multiplex (Danton Black), Jaculi, Mindboggler (Leah Wasserman), Captain Boomerang (George Harkness), Vixen (Mari Jiwe McCabe) and Deadshot (Floyd Lawton). However, that may not be entirely accurate, if a report from last week is to be believed.

Jai Courtney entered talks last week to play Deadshot, and that report also revealed which characters other actors are up for. Tom Hardy is in talks to play founding member Rick Flagg, with Margot Robbie circling the role of Harley Quinn and Jared Leto being courted to play The Joker. Will Smith may portray The Flash's nemesis Digger Harkness, a.k.a. Captain Boomerang. Naturally, none of this has been confirmed yet, but with shooting scheduled to begin in April, hopefully we'll get a confirmed cast sooner rather than later

David Ayer (Fury) is directing from a screenplay by Justin Marks (Dead Space).
