For those who follow soccer, or "football" as it's known in the rest of the world except for the U.S., England recently announced their full lineup for the Euro 2016 tournament. Warner Bros. UK decided to capitalize on this announcement by putting together a unique promo for Suicide Squad, which introduces the members of Task Force X. This video sheds some light on these colorful and unique characters, although don't expect to see them on the pitch anytime soon. If that wasn't enough, we also have new merchandise photos from Merchoid.

This video from Warner Bros. UK's YouTube channel is certainly a creative way to introduce details about these characters. Unfortunately, this narrator doesn't offer anything new about The Joker (Jared Leto). It's clear the studio wants to keep an air of mystery swirling around this key villain, so it isn't known if we'll learn much more about him between now and the August 5 release date.

It feels good to be bad... Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?

From director David Ayer (Fury, End of Watch) comes Suicide Squad, starring Oscar nominee Will Smith (Ali, The Pursuit of Happyness), Oscar winner Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street, Focus), Joel Kinnaman (Run All Night, The Killing) and Oscar nominee Viola Davis (The Help, Doubt). Written and directed by Ayer based on the characters from DC Comics, the film also stars Jai Courtney (Insurgent), Jay Hernandez (Takers), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Thor: The Dark World), Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors), Scott Eastwood (Fury), Cara Delevingne (Paper Towns), Adam Beach (Cowboys & Aliens), and Karen Fukuhara in her feature film debut.

It was recently confirmed that Warner Bros. is moving forward with a Harley Quinn spinoff, which will also feature Batgirl and the group Birds of Prey. There have also been reports of spinoffs for The Joker and Captain Boomerang as well, but those have yet to be confirmed. We also reported that Warner Bros. wants to shoot Suicide Squad 2 as early as January 2017, but we'll have to wait and see how the first Suicide Squad performs at the box office, when it opens August 5.
