Bryan Shukoff and Kevin Chesley have signed on to write the comedy remake Summer School for Paramount Pictures and Adam Sandler's Happy Madison production company.

We reported back in April that Adam Sandler will produce, although he does not plan on starring. The original Summer School, which was released in 1987, starred Mark Harmon as a teacher whose summer plans are dashed when he is forced to teach an English class full of misfits. It is currently available for your queue on Netflix.

Jack Giarraputo and Heather Parry are also producing for Happy Madison. No production schedule has been revealed yet.

Bryan Shukoff and Kevin Chesley are best known for writing episodes of the short-lived MTV series The Hard Times of RJ Berger.
