Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights to Laurie Frankel's upcoming novel Deadmail.
The story centers on a computer prodigy who invents a way for people to email their deceased friends and family members. When the woman he loves unexpectedly dies, he must decide whether or not to stay close to her, using his own device. The novel will be published next year by Doubleday.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce for Summit through their Temple Hill Productions company. No screenwriter has been attached to adapt the novel as of yet.
