Summit Entertainment revealed its plans for the future, announcing that two films will be going into production this summer. Get Some and Step Up 2 are the first two films of an announced nine that will be going into production this year.

The teen-action drama Get Some will start shooting in July. It is being directed by Jeff Wadlow. According to Variety, the story revolves around a transplanted Iowa teen who winds up in an underground fighting league in Florida.

The sequel Step Up 2 will be directed by John Chu. Shooting will also start in July.

The seven other films currently being developed by Summit include:

Labyrinth. It is a remake of the French thriller Dedales. It will star Hilary Swank.

Letters to Juliet, directed by Gary Winnick. It centers on a young woman who becomes one of the people who answer letters from the lovelorn left in a Verona courtyard.

The Osterman Weekend is based on Robert Ludlum's novel. Writer Simon Kimberg will make his directorial debut on the thriller.

Parental Guidance is a romantic comedy. The story revolves around parents who try to get their son back together with his old girlfriend after he brings home the fiancée from hell.

Rat Bastard centers on a British conman who gets conned himself and is forced to take a job as a nanny.

Sex Drive is a teen comedy with Sean Anders directing.

Twilight is based on Stephanie Meyer's bestselling series about a family of vampires.
