Summit Entertainment has acquired rights to the thriller Seven Days from Korea's Prime Entertainment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie, which opened Wednesday in Korea, stars Yun-jin Kim (Lost) as a lawyer who must free a convicted killer in just one week or else see her kidnapped daughter murdered.

Prime said Summit intends to begin filming the remake, which will be made with the participation of France's Wild Bunch Distribution, in 2008. Seo-yull Lee and Shang-han Shin of Prime are executive producing with with Vincent Maraval and Agnes Mentre of Wild Bunch.
