In a story from Variety, Summit Entertainment is going to co-finance the film The Cold Light of Day with Intrepid Pictures.

Intrepid's Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans have been putting this project together over the past year and they will also produce. The screenplay was written by Scott Wiper and John Petro.

The Cold Light of Day focuses on an American whose family is kidnapped when they are on vacation in Spain. He only has hours to find them, as well as figure out a "government conspiracy and the connection between their disappearance and his father's secrets."

The film is scheduled to shoot entirely in Spain this spring. Summit will be distributing the film domestically and sell it internationally. Currently, the two studios are looking for a director.
