Hmm? Is this the reason Rob Zombie suddenly stopped production on his remake of The Blob?

Full credit goes out to Latino Review for discovering that the so-called "monster" in director J.J. Abrams' mysterious sci-fi thriller Super 8 may actually be channeling Flubber.

Yesterday, a new viral super8-movie website was discovered at the end of the full-length theatrical /super-8-trailer/trailer launched earlier in the week. Today, Latino Review's Gig Patta put together a couple of the clues found on this website with a few scenes from the trailer, and came up with pretty solid evidence that what those kids are dealing with is some sort of man-made biological goop that can shape shift and blast itself through walls.

There are a couple of old newsreel clips on super8-movie that show what appears to be a translucent cube like object being handled in a lab, which Elle Fanning and Kyle Chandler are later seen staring at in the /super-8-trailer/trailer. This thing zips off the table and rips a pretty good size hole in the wall. You can check out the screen grabs and the trailer below.
