Jeremy Jordan, who currently stars alongside Anna Kendrick in the big screen romance The Last Five Years, has signed on to play Winslow "Wynn" Schott in CBS' Supergirl pilot. As you may know from the DC Comics, Wynn Schott eventually becomes the villainous Toyman, but it isn't known if we will see this transformation on Supergirl. Jeremy Jordan will guest star in the pilot episode, with the potential to recur in the series.

We first learned about Wynn Schott's presence in Supergirl after character breakdowns released in August revealed that this character is a 20-something programmer for CatCo, the same company Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) works at as an assistant to company founder Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart). Wynn also lives next door to Kara, and harbors a huge crush for her. Jeremy Jordan joins a cast that also includes Mehcad Brooks as CatCo photographer Jimmy Olsen, Laura Benanti as Kara's Kryptonian birth mother Alura Zor-El, Chyler Leigh as Kara's foster sister Alex Danvers and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, a.k.a. Cyborg Superman.

The show also added Helen Slater and Dean Cain last week, but their roles were not revealed. Both actors have a history with both Supergirl and Superman, since Helen Slater played Kara Zor-El in the 1984 Supergirl movie, and Dean Cain played Superman on the hit 1990s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Hopefully we'll find out what characters they are playing soon.

Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler created the series and will serve as executive producers alongside Sarah Schechter and Andrew Kreisberg. Jeremy Jordan is best known for his work on Broadway in musicals such as Newsies and Bonnie & Clyde. He was also a series regular on NBC's Smash, and starred in Joyful Noise and Outliving Emily on the big screen.
