This Sunday evening, July 22, 2006 the American Cancer Society will hold its annual gourmet garden party in Los Angeles for more than 800 guests featuring al fresco dining from premier local restaurants, wines from California's most renowned vineyards, live entertainment and spectacular live and silent auctions.

Producer Lauren Shuler Donner, producer/director Richard Donner and master chef Wolfgang Puck will host the California Spirit XXII with the goal of raising $1 million to support the American Cancer Society's ongoing research, education, advocacy and free patient services programs. Inside Edition senior correspondent Jim Moret will emcee the event and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will present a special recognition award to Judge Diane Wayne.

Wolfgang Puck has gathered internationally renowned chefs to prepare a feast for the eye and palate. In addition, guests will enjoy live music, spectacular live and silent auctions featuring several entertainment-related items: Walk-on roles in the CBS television series The King of Queens, NBC's Scrubs, a VIP set-visit to the FOX television series 24 to meet the cast, and a walk-on role in the upcoming feature film Get Smart starring Steve Carell.
