After being introduced in 2013's Man of Steel, Henry Cavill returns as Superman in next year's highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which the actor revealed over the weekend will make "cinematic history." During another interview with The Anglophile Channel, Henry Cavill was asked how many more times he would like to play Superman on the big screen. Here's what he had to say below.

"As many as it takes. I love the character. I love working with Warner Bros. and what they're doing with it, and so fingers crossed I'll be able to tell the story for many, many years to come."

Back in October, Warner Bros. announced a massive expansion of their DC Comics movie slate, including Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Justice League Part 1, The Flash, Aquaman, Shazam!, Justice League Part 2, Cyborg and Green Lantern. We know Henry Cavill will certainly be back for Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2, with the entire team reportedly set to assemble at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it isn't known if Superman will pop up in any of the other superhero adventures.

Production wrapped in December on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with the first trailer reportedly set to debut in February, attached to prints of Warner Bros.' Jupiter Ascending. Warner Bros. is also reportedly developing another Superman adventure to debut at some point before the year 2020, but we have no specific details on that project yet. Zack Snyder will direct both Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2, so it seems unlikely he'd have time to squeeze in another Superman movie. It's possible this mysterious Superman project is currently seeking a director, although nothing has been confirmed at this point. Do you hope Henry Cavill keeps playing Superman for several years? Chime in with your thoughts below.
