Supernatural returned to the CW Network last night and while we reported last week that a sixth season of the series was possible, apparently it's even closer to a reality than previously thought. CinemaSpy is reporting that a sixth season of Supernatural has been confirmed by their sources.

An announcement hasn't been made as of yet, and creator Eric Kripke has long maintained that the show would run for five seasons, which would culminate with the Winchester brothers dueling with Satan himself. Last week's story also revealed that Kripke wasn't running out of ideas at all, so it seems this could be possible.
