The Supernatural Comic-Con panel today was a bittersweet affair. However, we were left with a trailer for season 15, which just so happens to be the final season, premiering October 10th. Richard Speight Jr. and Rob Benedict, stars from the show, hosted the panel, just like they did last year as their co-stars Alexander Calvert, Misha Collins, Jensen Ackles, and Jared Padalecki joined them on stage.

Executive producers Bob Berens, Andrew Dabb, Robert Singer, Brad Buckner, and Eugenie Ross-Leming also took the Comic-Con stage to pay tribute to the long-running series and its fans.

The Supernatural cast were then asked where their heads were at in that very moment. "That's so mean to start with us, I'm trying not to cry," said Jared Padalecki. While the decision to end the show after season 15 was a community decision, it was not an easy one to make. When Jared Padalecki, Jenson Ackles, and Misha Collins made the announcement on social media earlier this year, they were all holding back tears as they delivered the news. Ackles had this to say on stage earlier today.

"It really is had to express the takeaway from the experience. 14 years and change is a long time. This guy (Padalecki) was just in his early 20s, and we hooked it up to Vancouver thinking that we just put our lives on hold for maybe a season maybe 2... and then come back and press play and life would go on. And it never un-paused, and I'm grateful it didn't. It's been quite a ride, and it's difficult to express what we're going to take away from that."

Supernatural has become one of the biggest shows in TV history and has a massive cult following. Everything started back in 2005 and will end with a grand total of 327 episodes, since season 15 consists of 20 more episodes. While looking out into the Comic-Con crowd today, Misha Collins did some reflecting of his own. He explains.

"I consider these guys lifelong friends... but I could never have dreamed that along with that would come this incredible fandom and this iconic legacy of a show... it feels a great honor to be a part of it."

As for what we can expect in Supernatural season 15, that is very much a mystery, for the most part. Alexander Calvert has revealed that Jack will be back, though he did not go into details about how. The truth about God is also being played with, according to Eugenie Ross-Leming. As for how it will all end, the cast and crew weren't willing to go into details, but Andrew Dabbs claims, "30% of people will be really happy," about how everything comes to a close. "So 7/10 people in this room will be pissed off," joked Jared Padalecki.

With the recent ending of Game of Thrones, the writers of Supernatural have to be on their toes as the saga of The Winchester Brothers nears its conclusion. Ending such an iconic show is going to be tough and many fans aren't going to accept how it ends no matter how well everything is pulled off. With that being said, the Supernatural fans aren't as over the top as the Game of Thrones diehards. You can check out the Supernatural Comic-Con trailer below, thanks to Warner Bros. Television.
