First came The People's Court, now The People's Supreme Court may be coming to a TV near you. A bill has been passed by The Senate Judiciary Committee to allow televised coverage of the Supreme Court. The bill was passed by a 12-6 six vote.
Variety says the bill now goes to the full Senate for approval. Part of the bill calls for televised coverage of all Supreme Court proceedings, except when at least 5 of the 12 justices feel that the camera presence would negatively affect the rights of any of the involved parties in a particular proceeding.
