Action movie icon Sylvester Stallone will feel his age in Never Too Old to Die, a new project from Amazon Studios that will see the Rambo star as a retired secret agent living in a home. As per a report by Deadline, Never Too Old to Die comes as part of Stallone’s recent first-look deal with Amazon, with the studio now acquiring the script penned by Brian Otting.

Described as an action comedy, Never Too Old to Die sounds like the perfect vehicle for Stallone at this stage in his career, with the movie finding Stallone as a retired spy. After a mysterious murder within a retirement home for spies, a Cold War hero embarks on a personal mission to find the assassin living among them. Could that possibly sound any more perfect?

Now 76 years young, Never Too Old to Die will clearly be leaning into Stallone’s age, play off the legacy of famous spy James Bond, and see the actor maintain his status as one of Hollywood’s greatest action movie heroes. Never Too Old to Die will be produced by Stallone and Braden Aftergood for Balboa Productions and is the first project to come as part of the actor’s deal with Amazon Studios. The deal will see Stallone direct, write, star in, and produce projects for Amazon.

“Sylvester Stallone is an undeniable Hollywood legend who has created some of the most timeless and iconic characters of our generation,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon and MGM Studios, said at the time. “As an actor, writer, director, and producer, he has defined his own epic brand of storytelling and inspired people all over the world. We are excited to continue our relationship with Sylvester and Balboa Productions to bring even more of his exciting creative vision to our global audiences.”
