Netflix has just released the trailer for Tall Girl 2, the sequel to their coming-of-age story, Tall Girl, that sees Ava Michelle returning as Jodi, trying to navigate her newfound popularity after years of not fitting in. With the popularity comes new challenges Jodi isn't prepared for. High school is not for the faint of heart.

Ava Michelle may have gotten her start on the reality show Dance Moms, but it was the talent search for Tall Girl that began her launch. "It was essential for us to find an actor to portray our lead who can speak to the challenges and lessons that Jodi experiences from a very personal place of authenticity. Ava's ability to beautifully and uniquely showcase those attributes stood out to us in a way that we believe audiences will connect with. Tall Girl showcases that embracing the very qualities that make you different is what allows you to overcome anything," Nzingha Stewart, Tall Girl director, said.

The official synopsis for Tall Girl 2 reads: "After her inspiring speech at the homecoming dance, Jodi (Ava Michelle) is no longer just the "tall girl" - she's popular, confident, has a boyfriend, and just booked the lead role in this year's school musical. But as the pressure of her newfound popularity intensifies, so do her insecurities, and new relationships are formed while old ones are tested. As the world she built starts to crumble around her, Jodi realizes that standing tall was only just the beginning."

The clothing line features self-affirmation clothing, printed backward to speak to the wearer. The brand's message is clear. It reads, "The SLC brand is centered on self-affirmation and motivation. Your message to yourself is the most important and crucial to self-love. We believe when you're clear and confident in yourself you're less likely to be influenced or persuaded to be someone you know you aren't. Define yourself! Wear your special attributes for you first. Look in the mirror every day, affirm and reaffirm yourself. What you tell yourself should ring louder than anyone else's voice.

"You know how awesome you are! You know your attributes and your talents! You know your heart and your mind! Others can't define you because they aren't YOU! Your SELF LOVE words will change, evolve and some will remain your forever foundation as you navigate your ever-changing journey of life. Always stop and take time to look in the mirror and reinforce the words that make you unique. If you believe in yourself you can genuinely believe in others. Once you celebrate yourself it's much easier to celebrate with others eliminating any feelings of comparison or jealousy. Let's be so in touch with us that we don't have any room to do anything else but positively cheer and wish the best for others."

Tall Girl 2 hits Netflix on February 11, 2022.
