Tyler Perry did it once with his first sitcom, now he's secured a huge order of episodes for his second sitcom. According to The Hollywood Reporter, TBS has ordered 70 more episodes of Perry's new sitcom, Meet the Browns.

The sitcom premiered on the cable network in January and only 10 episodes have aired so far before the network ordered 70 more. The move is similar to TBS' huge pickup of 90 additional episodes of Perry's first sitcom, House of Payne in 2006, after just 10 episodes aired.

"Tyler Perry and TBS have turned the traditional sitcom model on its head with hit comedies like 'Meet the Browns' and 'House of Payne,' " said Mort Marcus, co-president of Debmar-Mercury. "We couldn't have asked for better partners."

Perry himself wears multiple hats on both series', serving as the owner, creator, executive producer and director of both sitcoms.
