One of the more memorable moments in the raucous 2012 comedy Ted is where Flash Gordon star Sam J. Jones appears in a cameo as himself. It seems the sequel Ted 2 will have a similar scene featuring William Shatner as himself.

The Boston Herald reports that the actor will be appearing at a superhero convention, where he is taking questions from fans about his cop series T.J. Hooker. The actor gets annoyed when attendees keep asking him Star Trek questions. It's stated that there was also a recent Boston casting call for the sequel, with the production seeking a number of extras wearing superhero costumes.

Ted stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis are reprising their roles as John Bennett and his girlfriend Lori Collins, although Mila Kunis is said to have a smaller role in the sequel. We reported in February that Amanda Seyfried signed on to play the female lead, but no details were given for her character.
