90210 actress Jessica Stroup has joined the cast of the Universal Pictures comedy Ted.

The movie centers on Mark Wahlberg's character who, as a child, made a wish that his teddy bear would come to life, which came true. As a grown man, he still lives with his teddy bear, who has become a foul-mouthed chain-smoker. Mila Kunis will play the girlfriend of Mark Wahlberg's character, who wants to settle down with him, but only if he loses the bear. Jessica Stroup will play one of Mila Kunis' co-workers, who has also slept with their boss (Joel McHale).

Seth MacFarlane will make his feature directorial debut with Ted, working from a screenplay he co-wrote with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. Seth MacFarlane will also provide the voice of the teddy bear.

It isn't known when production will begin on Ted.
