Spoiler Alert! Spoilers Ahead for Ted Lasso Season 3

The third season of Ted Lasso has unsurprisingly upped the ante with plenty of flawless humorous scenes and some of the most heartwarming moments, such as bonding Jamie and Roy, but it has also turned the story into an emotional rollercoaster. Ted (Jason Sudeikis) and Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) face enough problems in their life despite having each other's backs, and Keeley (Juno Temple) and Richmond have their own difficulties, whether it's an interpersonal relationship or a string of losses.

Ted Lasso has always been a well-balanced show, with plenty of sportsmanship, romance, friendship, humor, and emotion, but the third season has yet to balance this. However, we are not yet at the end of the season, so things could change at any point. Speaking about concluding the series, Episode 8 of the third season pointed out a possible romantic connection between Jamie (Phil Dunster) and Keeley, who split up in the first season, that we may see in the subsequent episodes.

Despite their great chemistry, with Jamie being a bit arrogant and Keeley being supportive, their breakup had to happen for the sake of numerous improvements in the series. That being said, we believe Ted Lasso's writers are eyeing to make Keeley end up with Jamie Tartt before the end of the series, and here's how.

After Keeley and Roy, the series' best couple, broke up as they couldn't spend enough time together owing to their busy lifestyles, the former found comfort with Jack Danvers (Jodi Balfour), who also funded Keeley's firm. Many viewers were taken aback by this new relationship, but it was a beautiful representation of the LGBTQ community, and they seemed perfect for each other at first. However, in an instant, many viewers' expectations were shattered when Jack fell short of what she needed to do as a girlfriend.

When one of Keeley's explicit clips went viral online, Jack offered to help her. After the incident, Jack asked Keeley to post an apology on social media and assure everyone that she would never do something like that again, even though it would have been more consoling if she had simply tried and failed.

On the other hand, Keeley thought it was unjust that Jack couldn't even introduce her as a girlfriend to one of her friends; instead, she was concerned about her status due to Keeley's mistake, which she doesn't regret. The relationship abruptly became toxic, and the pair we believed might end up together will not reconcile.

Keeley's Encounter With Roy

Roy Kent, Keeley's one true love, has always been supportive of her, not just by giving her space to follow her passion but also by loving her despite her history with Jamie. When they both broke up at the beginning of the third season, it startled many viewers, who expected them to reconcile before the end of the season. While it should have been the case, given how clearly they don't want to be separated, the writers pulled another plot twist in the eighth episode.

After learning about Keeley's leaked video, Roy felt a need to console her, but it didn't go well. Instead of offering her a helpful shoulder, he might have been jealous and asked to whom she sent the video, which could have hurt Keeley's feelings even more. She was on the verge of a nervous breakdown but held it together with Rebecca by her side; nevertheless, after hearing those words come out of Roy's mouth, she couldn't endure it.

Why Keeley Will End Up With Jamie

Jamie in Ted Lasso
Apple TV+

Although Keeley broke up with Jamie in the first season because he was too immature, that particular attribute of Jamie no longer exists. Jamie has come a long way from an arrogant boy to a team player who is now the heart of Richmond, and props to the writers for giving this character such outstanding development.

Right after Roy's unforgivable jealousy moment, Jamie pays a visit to Keeley at her home, admitting that the video may have leaked from his phone by some hacker, even though he erased practically everything from his mobile after their breakup.

Keeley, however, is unconcerned because Jamie is the only person who has consoled her, regardless of whether the video was accidentally leaked from his phone. As we've seen with Keeley since the first season, she falls for someone who supports her and refrains from judging her based on a small mistake, and Jamie does just that at the end of Episode 8.

Furthermore, both Jamie and Keeley have shown steady progress since the beginning. In a previous episode, viewers saw Keeley praising Jamie for the different person he is now and how much he has matured. In contrast, Jamie had always harbored feelings for Keeley, but he never made a move, preferring to comfort Roy after their breakup, which resulted in a hilarious disaster.

In accordance with the events of Ted Lasso's third season, the writers are attempting to make Keeley and Jamie the endgame, which wouldn't be a bad idea.
