In an early celebration of the streaming service's one-year anniversary, Paramount has provided an update for the upcoming Teen Wolf movie. It has been confirmed that Teen Wolf will premiere on Paramount+ sometime in late 2022. It has also been revealed that the upcoming film will also set up a brand-new original series titled Wolf Pack. The recently announced spin-off series will be based on the books written by Edo van Belkom. You can take a look at Paramount's official announcement below.

Jeff Davis, who is the creator, writer, and producer for MTV's Teen Wolf had landed a multi-year overall deal with Paramount+ back in September last year. The upcoming film will serve as a movie sequel to the series that ran for a total of 6 seasons starting back in 2011. Deadline has reported that Teen Wolf lead star Tyler Posey is set to reprise his role as Scott McCall. Eleven other series regular and recurring cast members of the original series are also set for the full-length reunion film, including Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes and Shelley Hennig. Unfortunately, still missing from the list are former series regulars Dylan O’Brien, Arden Cho and Tyler Hoechlin.

Teen Wolf movie: A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a Werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.

"Raise a hand if you're ready to be thrown to the wolves. Again. A Teen Wolf movie is slated for release in 2022 and, yes, talks are already underway with the original cast. Plus, get ready to sink your teeth into Wolf Pack, an all-new series based on Edo Van Belkom's beloved books."

The official synopsis for the Teen Wolf MTV series reads: "Teen Wolf revolves around Scott McCall, a high school student living in the fictional California town of Beacon Hills. Scott becomes the eponymous teenage werewolf of the series after he is bitten by an alpha werewolf the night before his second year of high school, drastically changing his once-ordinary life. The bite forces him to balance his new identity with his day-to-day teenage life and eventually help protect his hometown, which he learns is a beacon for supernatural activity."

The series received 13 Teen Choice Awards, nine for the performances of Posey, Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, and Shelley Hennig and four for Choice Summer TV Series.
