The annual WonderCon convention has kicked off in Los Angeles, and Paramount made a big splash on the first day, debuting an extended TV spot for the upcoming sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. The studio also unveiled two new character posters featuring Bebop and Rocksteady (Gary Anthony Williams and Stephen Farrelly), along with a limited edition poster by Gallery1988 artist Dave Quiggle. For those who are at WonderCon today, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows stars Megan Fox and Stephen Amell will be signing these posters at 2 PM at the TMNT booth.

Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Megan Fox (April O'Neil), Will Arnett (Vern Fenwick), William Fichtner (Eric Sacks), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) and Jeremy Howard (Donatello) are reprising their roles for the sequel. New cast members include Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, Brian Tee as Shredder and Brittany Ishibashi as Karai. Production on the action sequel wrapped in New York last August.

Among the new characters coming aboard for this sequel include Laura Linney as an undercover cop, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman and Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, along with Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly). All of these new characters make an apperance in this latest footage, along with our favorite heroes in a half-shell, seen fighting to stop an alien threat to the Big Apple. This sequel also features Krang, a villain who fans have been waiting to see on the big screen for quite some time.

Krang is a villain created for the original animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series. Here, we get to see his Android Body in action as Kraang and Krang take on the four sewer dwelling brothers. Although, very little is known about how he fits into the story. An official synopsis for the sequel has yet to be released, although many fans were pleased that fan-favorite characters Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady are finally making their first-ever big screen appearance.

Dave Green directs from a script by André Nemec and Josh Appelbaum. The screenwriters also wrote last year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which took in $485 million worldwide from a $125 million budget.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is slated for release on June 3, putting it up against Universal Pictures' Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie. It's possible that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 could put up even bigger numbers than its predecessor this coming summer, but we'll have to wait and see.
