With The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey debuting in theaters nationwide today, it's a perfect time for director Peter Jackson to unveil his 10th and final production video. Fans came out in record numbers last night to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey at midnight, to the tune of $12.4 million. That tally is the highest midnight screening total ever recorded for the month of December. Warner Bros. debuted this epic in more than 3,100 theaters last night, before opening in 4,045 theaters today.
