Teresa Palmer is in negotiations to join the cast of Alcon Entertainment's Point Break, which was given an August 7, 2015 release date last month.

Luke Bracey stars as FBI agent Johnny Utah, who infiltrates a criminal enterprise set within the extreme sports world. Édgar Ramírez is portraying Bodhi, with Ray Winstone playing Utah's veteran FBI partner. Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze, Gary Busey and originally portrayed Utah, Bodhi, Utah's partner in the 1989 original Point Break, which was directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Teresa Palmer is playing Johnny Utah's love interest in the reboot, originally portrayed by Lori Petty.

Ericson Core (Invincible) is directing from a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer (Salt, Total Recall), with Alcon's Andrew A. Kosove and Broderick Johnson producing alongside John Baldecchi, Chris Taylor and Kurt Wimmer. No production schedule was given.
