QED International and Worldview Entertainment has stepped in to resurrect the crime thriller Term Life, which will be distributed domestically by Universal Pictures.

Vince Vaughn is attached to star as a man being hunted by the mafia, who takes out a life insurance policy for his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld). However, he has to stay alive for three weeks for the policy to kick in.

Peter Billingsley is directing from a screenplay by Andy Lieberman, based on his graphic novel from Image Comics. Vince Vaughn, Victoria Vaughn and Micah Mason are producing through their Wild West Picture Show Productions company, alongside QED's Bill Block and Worldview's Christopher Woodrow and Molly Conners. Production is slated to begin next year, with the project being introduced at the American Film Market.

Vince Vaughn will next be seen in the DreamWorks comedy Delivery Man. Hailee Steinfeld stars in Ender's Game, which debuted in theaters this weekend.
