Paramount Pictures is getting fans ready for the Terminator Genisys trailer debuting Thursday, December 4, by releasing a brief preview with the first footage. We don't see a whole lot in this 15-second teaser, but it appears that one of the characters shares the same "liquid-metal" characteristics as Robert Patrick's T-1000 from 1991's Terminator 2: Judgment Day. We also see what could be the massive device that sends people (and Terminators) back in time, along with missiles being launched all over the world.

Last but not least, we finally get a glimpse at Arnold Schwarzenegger's aging T-800 character, as we see him examining his bare metal arm. We reported back in October that the T-800 has actually raised Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) since she was nine years old, after another Terminator sent by Skynet wiped out her entire family. While we don't see her in the trailer preview, Sarah is much different than Linda Hamilton's previous incarnations, as she knows the entire future laid out for her by the T-800, whom she calls "Pops."

Take a look at the first footage from Terminator Genisys, which also stars Jason Clarke as John Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese and Matt Smith as an unidentified character, before the first trailer debuts tomorrow. Director Alan Taylor's sci-fi action-thriller hits theaters July 1, 2015.
