Terrence Howard has signed on to round out the impressive cast of Alcon Entertainment's Prisoners, directed by Denis Villeneuve (Incendies).

Hugh Jackman stars as a distraught father who takes the law into his own hands to find his kidnapped daughter. He clashes with a big city detective (Jake Gyllenhaal) who is assigned to the case. Melissa Leo, Paul Dano, Viola Davis, and Maria Bello are also attached to star.

Aaron Guzikowski (Contraband) wrote the screenplay, with Alcon's Andrew A. Kosove and Broderick Johnson producing alongside Kira Davis and Adam Kolbrenner.

Principal photography is slated to begin in February. Warner Bros. will distribute through their deal with Alcon, with a fall 2013 release date being targeted.
