The latest look at Baby Thanos just might haunt your dreams. Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame were originally going to delve further into the Mad Titan's backstory. Since Endgame hit theaters and became the highest grossing movie of all time, we have seen a lot of unused concept art from the epic movie. This just goes to show how much hard work and effort goes into making the Marvel Cinematic Universe come to life on the big screen, even for things that ultimately go unused.

Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding shared some concept art on social media depicting Young Thanos, and then in final form. This led Marvel Studios concept designer Ian Joyner to share a more detailed version of his Baby Thanos design, which is lot different from his previous post. While some Marvel fans may consider the baby version of the Mad Titan cute, there are probably some who will find it more than a little terrifying. Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian would definitely win in the cuteness department. Without a doubt.

Even gigantic supervillains were once babies and the recently released Avengers 4 concept art proves it. The purple baby with the weird chin grew up to be a monster, though some contend he was misunderstood. Thanos was arguably the star and focus of Infinity War as fans got some insight into his way of thinking. However, the original idea was to explore even more of his backstory. In the end, the Russo Brothers decided against the idea noting it wasn't "necessary for the movie." The directing duo also revealed that there was a lot of heartbreak in the villain's childhood years, which could have been interesting to explore.

Any additional Thanos in Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame could have bogged both movies down. It's incredible that the Russo Brothers, along with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, were able to pull off two hugely successful movies with such a large cast. The storytelling is dense and layered, while keeping the action up. Even with great success, comes some regret. For instance, McFeely and Markus do wish they would have given Natasha Romanoff more of a tribute after her sacrifice on Vormir. MCU fans were a little upset about the lack of tribute.

Avengers: Endgame saw Thanos and his army wiped out by a single snap from Tony Stark. With the Infinity Saga now over, it will be interesting to see how the MCU moves on with different characters and new movies. While we probably won't get a Thanos movie that explores his backstory, maybe Kevin Feige will go the Disney+ route with a series. Regardless if it happens or not, we now know exactly what Baby Thanos would have looked like on the big or small screen.
