An all-new clip has just been released for The Adam Project. Set to start streaming on Netflix next month, the time travel thriller features Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds in a lead role alongside newcomer Walker Scobell. Both actors are playing the same Adam but at different ages, and in the clip below, each comes to terms with speaking with another version of himself from another time.

Along with Reynolds and Scobell, the film stars Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Catherine Keener, and Zoe Saldaña. The official logline for The Adam Project is as follows: "A time-traveling pilot teams up with his younger self and his late father to come to terms with his past while saving the future."

"[The Adam Project] has a storytelling device that doesn’t feel slow, so it’s the same pace that we watch movies these days, but it also has this high-concept, wish-fulfillment engine behind it," Reynolds recently said of the film, per The Hollywood Reporter. "And, at the end of the day, it’s a very personal story, a story about something that I think every single person can relate to. That’s magic, man. That’s what I love about movies, and it’s what I’ve always loved about movies."

The Adam Project is directed by Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Tropper, T.S. Nowlin, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin. It is produced by David Ellion, Dana Goldberg, Daon Granger, Levy, and Reynolds. The executive producers are Levin, Flackett, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Dan Levin, Dan Cohen, George Dewey, and Patrick Gooing.

The Adam Project Come At a Time When Ryan Reynolds Took a Sabbatical from Acting

Last year, Ryan Reynolds said he was going to take a break from acting after finishing up his work on the holiday movie Spirited with Will Ferrell. The actor clarifies that while he's still on his sabbatical, he hasn't been any less busy, as he's still working on other movie projects at home. This includes continuing his work on the Deadpool 3 screenplay which is still coming along.

"It’s a little sabbatical. It’s not a pause in work, it’s just that I’m not shooting any movies for a minute," Reynolds said. "I finished Spirited in early October, and I didn’t want to shoot anything again until after the summer. There is no absence of busyness at all — I am just home while I work. I’m writing Deadpool 3, working on [other businesses] Mint Mobile, Aviation Gin, MNTN, Maximum Effort and all of the other things that occupy so much of my bandwidth right now. My kids are at an age where they’re in school, and I don’t want to be away from them. I also recognize the extreme privilege it is to be able to be home with them during this time, so I’m taking advantage of it."

The Adam Project is set to start streaming on March 11, 2022. You will be able to find the film streaming at Netflix.com/TheAdamProject.
