While we have seen a few snapshots of Scream and X star Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams in the upcoming Netflix series, Wednesday, we have yet to see anything of the rest of The Addams Family. Well, that has now changed thanks to Vanity Fair, which has unveiled several images from the series. Images that show-off Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams. You can check out this latest look at Wednesday below.

Wednesday has been described as a coming-of-age supernatural mystery comedy, and will focus on beloved member of The Addams Family, Wednesday Addams, exploring her years as a high school student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday attempts to master her psychic powers, stop a monstrous killing spree of the town citizens, and solve the supernatural mystery that affected her family 25 years ago—all while navigating her new relationships.

Wednesday comes from Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with filmmaking icon Tim Burton on board as a director and executive producer. Clearly, The Addams Family-meet-Tim-Burton is a match made in gothic heaven.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán will star as Wednesday’s parents Morticia and Gomez respectively, and now, Alfred Gough and Mark Millar have explained how Burton’s influence will differentiate the characters from previous live-action iterations as well as how Wednesday fits into The Addams Family franchise.

“He wanted the silhouette to look more like the Charles Addams cartoons, which is Gomez shorter than Morticia, versus the kind of suave Raul Julia version in the movies," Gough says.

“He's also incredibly debonair and romantic, and I think he has all those classic ingredients of the Gomez that we've seen come before, but he brings something also very different,” Millar added. “That's something that was very important to the show—that it didn't feel like a remake or a reboot. It's something that lives within the Venn diagram of what happened before, but it's its own thing. It's not trying to be the movies or the '60s TV show. That was very important to us and very important to Tim.”

Christina Ricci, who so successfully brought the character of Wednesday Addams to life back in 1991’s The Addams Family, will star in Wednesday and has since praised the vision of Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega’s central performance.

“It’s super fun. I loved working with Tim [Burton],” Ricci began. “I worked with Gwendolyn Christie, it was amazing. And Jenna is incredible. I saw some of the wardrobe photos before I went [to set] so I knew [what she looked like in character] and I was like, it’s such a great modern take on Wednesday. It’s so true tonally to the heart and soul of [the original], but then it’s incredibly modern and it’s great.”

Starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, George Burcea as Lurch, and Victor Dorobantu as Thing (Uncle Fester's whereabouts are currently a mystery) alongside Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Gwendoline Christie, and Christina Ricci, among others, Wednesday is set to premiere on Netflix later this year. Expect a Halloween release.
